  • I'm 30, and live in a tiny apartment with my wondertwin and 3 ferrets (MISSBUTTONCOMEBACK). I like Supernatural, and Buffy, and Doctor Who, and let's be honest, poorly written vampire fiction, comics (DC), videogames, and getting distracted. I have no motor skills, no social skills, extreme shyness, and hope to start vet school in 2013.

Everytime I read about people new to comics wanting to read Civil War…

I die a little inside.

It’s like the past coming back to haunt you!

It’s right up there with Disassembled and House of M, where it just seemed they were like HEY BENDIS DO STUFF TO PISS PEOPLE OFF, HERE’S WHO YOU CAN KILL. I really like a lot of his writing, and I know Civil War wasn’t a solo effort, and there’s always things that are editorial but— but—-

I kind of broke up with Marvel shortly after that. Me and DC are kinda broken up at the moment, too. (New 52…although they look like some really good stories, a few titles I was following for years I felt were forced to stop ahead of their time. )

I just hate how both DC and Marvel always try to have these epic-title-spanning-world-changing-forever-events every year. I really enjoyed Blackest Night, but maybe because it came out of two plus years of story development. The rest of the events— it seems they get a list of things that would make people buy books/ shock people / characters to kill, and worry about telling a good story second.

._. Anyway, I just hope it leads people to read other better stories, and don’t spend hundreds of dollars trying to read the whole thing.

ALSO INSTEAD OF DOING SCIENCE..WHAT IF…

They do an Elder Gods SL, and they are weak to lightning, and Cas is like I cannot summon the lightning, but I have a guy on my speed dial, let me ring him up, Hi Thor, sup, bring Loki, let’s have a tea party!

Oh, and I hope the boys realize an angel who doesn’t want to fight is still INCREDIBLY useful. Just because he doesn’t want to be super battle angel Cas anymore, he’d be an invaluable asset to their work, and y’know, he’s supposed to be their friend (…which they don’t really have a surplus of).

I don’t want to give it away, but you will all be shocked on what happens with Crowley.

I’ll be shocked if their spell doesn’t work because he turns out not to be a demon. Actually, no I won’t, because I’ve been thinking it for ages.

(via euclase)

I HOPE HE TURNS OUT TO BE CTHULHU. And this was all just a plot to restore him to Ry’leh. Though, I always thought if he had an alter, it’d be Nyarlathotep.  I never understood Crowley’s motive for cracking open  Purgatory to -just- get the souls. He was already ruler of Hell— I figured he wanted something more, and ruling over Purgatory didn’t seem to be it. I thought -then- he’d come out and be OH HI LETTING OUT THE ELDER GODS (who technically are not of God’s making as the Leviathan’s are).

Especially because some of Nyarlathotep’s characteristics are -very- similar to Crowley. He’s one of the only deities to be outright malignant (like, in a plotting way, big guys like Cthulhu are more like giant beasts, not getting off on what they do), the only way to take the shape of a man, and a convincing one, he’s resourceful, he dresses all in black, and he corrupts people by making deals.

He also enjoys his work, immensely, and is usually a messenger figure for the elder gods, their go to guy, their errand boy. When Leviathans weren’t weak to electricity (as Eve’s worm baby was, which is a weakness of Nyarlahotep and other Lovecraftian monsters), I was a little disappointed, but now… I’m giddy that it means the Leviathans were just a byproduct that showed up in the way of an Elder God storyline. It really seemed like it hinted of Elder Gods in 6— only to have it turn out to be the Leviathans, a foe not out of Lovecraft Mythology, but another biblical one.

Unlike Leviathans that just want to have us as their food supply, and not really control us directly, the Elder Gods attack the psychosis so much, and I think it would be an awesome translation to the Supernatural storyline (again, Eve’s version of the Kahn worm, that’s the type of stuff Lovecraft monsters do, that or go insane/keep losing memory/blacking out until you join your local monster worshipping group).

Also. Tentacles. We saw some in Cas— but I couldn’t help but feel Dean’s watching on hentai was foreshadowing. Because it’d be pretty poetic for him to end up with a tentacle choking him to death. “sonofabitch, KNOW I KNOW HOW THOSE POOR ANIMATED SCHOOLGIRLS FELT!” But other than that, we haven’t really seen any— unless Dick transforms into a giant sea serpent— unlikely given the special effects budget in the past (DRAGONS ARE NOT GOONS IN SUITS).

Crossing my fingers, and my squishable Cthulhu is already in the mail.

Also, I find it disturbing Cthulhu is recognized by tumblr’s spell check….
